Develop the skills to facilitate inclusive, participatory music‑making in diverse settings with UL’s one‑year, full‑time Master of Arts (MA) in Community Music. You will work with people of all ages and backgrounds and learn to design projects that are artistically strong and socially responsive. 

Through hands‑on workshops, you’ll build facilitation, ensemble and leadership skills while engaging with the latest community‑music research and reflective practice. 

You will learn how to plan, fund, deliver and evaluate real‑world projects, culminating in a Final Presentation in the summer semester. 

By the end of the programme, you’ll be ready to lead community music initiatives across education, health, youth and cultural sectors.

  • Develop workshop skills, practical management and all other skills necessary for a community musician.
  • Facilitate the expressive work of others and work effectively with a wide range of people in diverse settings.
  • Add to the academic canon of community music writing.
  • Promote access to excellent participatory music making.
