UL’s Postgraduate Certificate in Advanced Practice (Midwifery) is a one year, part-time Level 9 programme designed to build on your existing qualifications and clinical experience.
Through a blend of academic modules and supervised clinical practice, you’ll develop the autonomy, leadership, and collaborative skills required for advanced midwifery roles.
On successful completion, you’ll be eligible to apply for registration as an Advanced Midwife Practitioner (RAMP) with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI).
During this programme, you will
Develop as a healthcare professional, with the clinical decision-making skills to enhance care and improve outcomes for women and their babies.
Complete specialist modules in Leadership, Quality and Governance to evolve your practice and work towards senior roles.
Grow as an innovative, woman-centered practitioner, assessing and managing care in partnership with women.
Undertake supervised clinical practice under the guidance of experienced mentors, developing key competencies for career development.
