Sionna Lunchtime Concert: Brian Morrissey with Richie Delahunty

Brian Morrissey is a renowned banjo/bodhrán/mandolin player and percussionist. He is a member of the ground-breaking groups Buille and TarantaCeltica and has performed and recorded with artists such as Donal Lunny, John Spillane, Kevin Crawford, Jimmy Crowley, and the late, great Mícheál Ó Súilleabháin. Brian has also performed with many international artists including multiple Grammy winners Béla Fleck and Alison Brown. Brian’s production and composition credits include the acclaimed stage show Pulses of Tradition.
Richie Delahunty is a maestro on Banjo, Mandolin and Guitar. Richie hails from Tipperary, but plays with musicians countrywide and is a regular performer in the Cork music scene and beyond. He has many musical accomplishments such as 2 All Ireland mandolin titles and an all Ireland Miscellaneous title on guitar among other high achievements in Fleadh Ceoil. He is also a recent graduate from the BA Music and Arts in UCC.
