Venue: Theatre 1
Resh, meaning something that lingers, is Srijaa’s first creative offering emerging from her Arts Practice PhD. The work explores how the body becomes both resource and repository, an archive and an agent where memory, meaning, and metaphor intertwine in experiences of migration.
From this inquiry, a series of questions arises:
What is home?
What if home is not a fixed geographic location?
How do we locate home in motion, within a body that is constantly becoming?
And what form does home take when it is held within the body?
Please remove your footwear after you enter and take your time within the space. You may arrive and depart at any point during the three-hour duration, encountering the work in fragments, returns, and passing moments, or stay and move with it as it unfolds.
A conversation will follow the performance. You are invited to stay, if you wish, to linger a little longer with questions, and in each other’s company.
