How to pay fees and fee receipts
Finance task
After you have accepted your place on a course, you will be invited to complete the Online Finance Task, which is located on the Student Portal. All students are required to complete this task.
How to pay fees
Pay fees via the Student Portal
- Log on to the online student portal
- Click on Financial Statement
- Click on Amount to Pay (EURO)
- Input Card Details

- Input Student ID number
- Input Student Date of Birth
- Input Amount to Pay (EURO) – minimum transaction amount €18

International Students - Pay Fees via TransferMate
Advantages of using the TransferMate facility:
- Access TransferMate for University of Limerick
- You make the payment in your own country
- You make the payment in your own currency
- You receive confirmation of payment/receipt required for your visa application
- You don’t need to contact UL directly
- No international bank charges
- Refunds can be paid back by the same method
- When making your payment, please reduce the fee amount requested in the offer letter by the deposit you have already paid.
Pay Fees by Post
- Payment can be made either by cheque or Bank Draft
- Make it payable to University of Limerick
- Remember to quote Student ID in your correspondence
Fee receipts
- Log into the online student portal
- Click on Fee Receipt Self Service
- Enter you date of birth (format is DD/MM/YYYY)
- Receipt will be emailed to your UL student email address.
By accepting the Terms and Conditions for using the online facility, you declare that all information provided by you is correct. The falsification of any information provided by you, or the provision of incorrect information, may result in the imposition of a financial penalty and/or expulsion from University of Limerick.
Payment by you to University of Limerick does not constitute a binding contract. University of Limerick reserves the right toe subsequently amend or adjust any fee charge to the student by the online facility at University of Limerick's own discretion.
A student may be denied permission to progress to his/her programme of study if all fees have not been paid in full.
University of Limerick may at any time at its sole discretion modify the terms of access to this facility. Your continued use of the facility following any such modification shall be deemed acceptance of such modification. Disputes arising from the use of this facility and the interpretation of University of Limerick's Terms and Conditions are subject to the laws of the Republic of Ireland. Disputes will be brought to the Irish courts. University of Limerick reserves the right to institute proceedings in the country of your residence. If you disagree with any of the terms and conditions and/or with any other of the applicable provisions of University of Limerick's regulations, you are not permitted to use this facility.
