Sport Ireland are developing the "Sport Ireland Learning Exchange", a series of short, interactive ‘lunch and learn’ webinars running from September to May and we would love to hear from you.

The series will bring together people from across sport, physical activity, research, health, education, youth, disability, and community sectors to share practical experiences, research insights, and learning that can help increase participation in sport and physical activity. While each session will focus on a specific topic area, discussion on the experiences and participation of people aged 16–26 will be a consistent feature throughout the series, in response to the gaps identified in the Irish Sports Monitor 2025.

Contributors are invited to deliver short presentations on topics such as:

  • Youth participation

  • Women in Sport

  • Disability inclusion

  • Coaching and volunteer development

  • Older adults

  • Inclusion and disadvantaged communities

  • Outdoor activity

  • Other relevant areas

Sport Ireland are particularly interested in examples of:

  • Successful programmes, initiatives, or ideas

  • Research that has informed practice

  • Effective partnerships or collaborations

  • Lessons learned from challenges and how they were addressed

Whether you work in sport, physical activity, health, education, youth work, community development, research, or a related field, your contribution if welcome.

If you are interested in presenting or attending, submit a response to this form – Sport Ireland Learning Exchange – Expression of interest

Please consider sharing with relevant organisations or groups who may wish to engage with this series.

Please don't worry if your idea is still developing, the organising committee are happy to work with contributors to shape sessions and identify the best fit for the series.

We encourage everyone to submit ideas and nominations and help us create a Learning Exchange that showcases the best thinking, practice, and innovation from across the sector.
