Dr Lucie Pollard is Director of Academic Operations at the University of Limerick, School of Medicine. Prior to joining University of Limerick, Lucie was Director of the London Campus of the University of the West of Scotland, supporting the educational journey of its international students. She also held senior positions at the University of Greenwich in both a strategic and an operational capacity.

Research Interests

Lucie’s research endeavours to understand student experiences in culturally diverse classrooms, student engagement and belonging. In 2013 Lucie was awarded a Higher Education Academy Teaching Development Grant in collaboration with London Metropolitan University for a project looking into student engagement in culturally diverse classrooms in urban Higher Education Institutions. In 2019 Lucie co-authored ‘Cultural Journeys in Higher Education’.
