Our Aims

  • Provide free, flexible and equitable academic support to UL students studying science-based modules through the use of both campus-based and online support/resources

  • Reduce barriers to accessing/participating in third level education by cultivating curiosity and empowering all students to build a strong foundation in their own learning journeys

  • Provide a collaborative and student-led environment for students at UL through the use of postgraduate tutors employed as peer mentors

  • Collaborate with other UL student support services (such as other Learning Centres, Disability Services, the Mature Student Office and UL Global) to provide an inclusive experience for UL students

  • Support the implementation of transformative pedagogies and demonstrate good practice in order to provide comprehensive academic support to UL students
