VLE Management Structure
Approved by Executive Committee - May 2025
The adoption of Brightspace was enabled through the VLE Project, funded by the HEA Human Capital Initiative Pillar 3 via UL@Work. The project concluded in April 2024.
A VLE Structure was established to continue the support and management of the VLE and its associated tools. In June 2025, approved this structure, with yearly reporting to EC.
The VLE structure was approved by the Executive Committee in May 2025 as the mechanism to enable governance, coordination, and support of the ongoing work and decision-making process around the digital education infrastructure at UL.
The progress of the VLE structure is supported by approved standard operating procedures (SOPs) for decision-making.
Approved minutes of the VLE Management Board, monthly updates by the working groups, and approved changes controls are shared in the open folder VLE Campus Engagement (available on request).
Any UL staff member may provide feedback or raise a concern regarding a decision made or reported at the VLE Management Board here: Feedback and suggestions.
