Meet Luke

Luke is a graduate of our BSc in Product Design and Technology, and he tackled the very current topic of face masks for respiratory illness prevention.

Luke carried out in-depth interviews to observations exploring users' interactions with/experiences with facial PPE. This resulted in maskne, anti-fog, breathing, decontamination, societal awareness, irritation, positioning and comfort.

Luke's ideation process ranged wide and far, as can be seen in the attached images.

His final design was ClearGuard - a facial PPE covering designed to be more pleasant to wear, comfortable to put on, tailored for different skin conditions and enhance communication between users.
