This page celebrates the work of the MSc in Design for Health and Wellbeing students of 2020/2021. We invite you to take some time to browse the projects and get to know our graduates a little more.

As the graduates of the first year of our MSc programme, we believe that these students’ projects shine even more because they completed them primarily in their own homes due to successive COVID-19 lockdowns. Despite this, students carried out strong user research and secondary research; engaged in collaborative and wide-ranging ideation sessions; and developed their design responses to a high standard. Projects span a wide range: from design interventions aiming to enrich the educational needs of students with autism (Eoin Martin) to product design for vocal training (Megan O’Mahony); from the redesign of PPE (Luke O’Driscoll) to reconsidering how we experience cervical smears (Doireann Peelo); all the way to reimagining concussion diagnosis (Jack Sweeney) and exploring new possibilities for the design of the speculum (Wandrille Wurz).

Thank you to all of our students – we wish you well in your future work and hope you keep in touch!
