Doctoral College Annual Report 25/26

The Doctoral College has published its third annual report, Maximising Opportunities in Doctoral Education, outlining progress from February 2025 to February 2026. The report highlights continued work to enhance doctoral education for more than 1,000 postgraduate researchers at UL, with a focus on equity, internationalisation and sustainability.

Key developments include expanded opportunities for PGRs to communicate their research through PhD pULse, YouTube testimonials, the PGR Showcase and 3-Minute Thesis; continued investment in high-quality research supervision through the PhD Supervision Lifecycle Programme, new supervision guidance and forthcoming Excellence in Research Supervision Awards; and new tools to support PGR career planning, skills development, responsible AI use and wellbeing. The report also outlines work to strengthen postgraduate research procedures, improve clarity and fairness, and support connection across the doctoral community.
