PhD: Researcher for the Irish Rugby Injury Surveillance (IRIS) Project in partnership with the Irish Rugby Football Union (IRFU). Patrick has designed, developed and measured a bespoke programme (ENGAGE Readiness & Robustness Programme) to reduce the rate of injury occurrence and severities in men’s and women’s rugby players across Ireland.

Personal Profile:

Patrick is a US native, born and raised in Philadelphia. He comes to us from working for Red Bull New York after leading all performance operations for the Academy and assisting the First team (MLS). He most recently served as the tournament medical coordinator for the World Lacrosse U21 Men’s World Championships. Additionally, he remains a Sports Science Network Professional for US Soccer, providing support in strength and conditioning and sport science to US Youth National Teams during domestic and international training camps and matches.  Prior to working in professional soccer, he grew as a strength and conditioning coach primarily coaching in the collegiate system. He was the Head Strength & Conditioning Coach at Manhattan College, Assistant Director of Strength & Conditioning at Santa Clara University, and a Graduate Assistant Strength & Conditioning Coach at Lindenwood University. He was fortunate to work under great mentors from numerous internship stints at Xavier University, University of Denver, Lehigh University, and Temple University. He began his pursuit in Strength and Conditioning in 2009 as a volunteer S&C coach at MVP Sports Training and Fitness.
 
Patrick is an Approved Mentor for the Collegiate Strength and Conditioning Coaches Association (CSCCa) while also holding their Strength and Conditioning Coach Certified (SCCC) certificate since 2015. He became a Registered Strength and Conditioning Coach (RSCC) in 2017 and began as a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) in 2012 with the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA). He also holds the Functional Range Conditioning Specialist Mobility Specialist (FRCms) certification with Functional Anatomy Seminars, Basic Life Support through the American Red Cross, and Mental Health First Aid from the National Council for Mental Wellbeing.
