Social events organised by the department – trip to Birr castle

Physics postgraduate students and postdoctoral researchers celebrated the end of the teaching Semester by organizing a trip to Birr Castle. They toured the grounds, saw the Great Telescope and the new iLOFAR Radio Telescope. Birr Castle organised a representative from iLOFAR to give the tour and answer questions.  A wonderful day was had by all.
