Overview

All University of Limerick students, and eligible employees, are provided with a digital user account (student account or staff account) which provides the following functionality: 

  • Use of a University of Limerick email account 
  • Access to OneDrive and SharePoint 
  • Access to university administrative and academic systems that the account holder has been granted access to, based on their affiliation with the university 
  • Access to networked computing resources around campus, including printers

Student digital user accounts  

When you accept your offer for a place at UL, you will receive an email with instructions to complete your student tasks. The first task is to activate your student account. Once you have completed this task, an email will be sent to your personal email address containing your student account details.

The expiry date on your student account is linked to the end date on your student record. 

If you have graduated: 

All students: You will retain access to your student account for 150 days from the date of your conferring ceremony.

Postgraduate Research and Professional Doctorate student: You will retain access to your student account for 365 days from the date of your conferring ceremony.

You are taking a leave of absence: 

You will retain access to your student account for 395 days from the date your leave of absence commences.  

Leaving for any other reason 

You will retain access to your student account for 60 days from the date you exit UL.
