Brightspace is a learning management platform that combines a Learning Environment, ePortfolio, Learning Repository, Video Recorder, Virtual Classroom as well as mobile accessibility.

With Brightspace, instructors have a comprehensive set of tools and resources at their disposal to create engaging online learning experiences for their students.

Firstly, instructors can easily organize and structure their course content within Brightspace. They can create modules or units that contain various learning materials such as documents, videos, and interactive elements. This allows them to present course materials in a logical and easily accessible manner.

Brightspace provides instructors with options for designing assessments and assignments. They can create quizzes, tests, and exams using various question types, including multiple-choice, fill-in-the-blank, and essay questions. Instructors can also set due dates and grading criteria for assignments, making it easy to manage the submission and evaluation process.

Communication and interaction with students are facilitated through Brightspace. Instructors can engage in discussions with students through forums or chat features, allowing for real-time collaboration and addressing questions or concerns. Additionally, instructors can provide feedback on assignments and assessments directly within Brightspace, offering personalized guidance to students.

Brightspace offers a range of monitoring and tracking tools for instructors. They can track student progress, view grades, and generate reports to gain insights into student performance. Important information on Brightspace module registration

Staff registered as the Module Coordinator in SI, will be enrolled automatically in Brightspace. Brightspace updates every 2 hrs and instructors will have access once the update completes. 

Staff who are not registered in SI can still access Brightspace but will need to be enrolled in the Module before they can view module material. All staff can login to Brightspace using their UL Email Account and Password.
