Thinking about a career in healthcare?

The annual Careers in Health Webinar for Transition Year and Leaving Certificate (Year 5 & Year 6) students took place on 30 January, 01 February and 07 February 2024 from 9.15 am to 11 am.

These events were hosted by the Health Sciences Academy in conjunction with the Limerick and Clare Education and Training Board, and supported by the Limerick Education Support Centre.

The live webinars were focused on students in post-primary schools and provides information on careers and programmes of study in health. More than 17 thousand students from all over Ireland attended last year's event.

Given the extremely busy nature of hospital settings, we understand that Transition Year students cannot come to hospitals or other clinical settings for work experience or tours, and so we have designed this event to be as informative and interactive as possible, showcasing healthcare as an option for further study and careers.

We look forward to the next event and updates on this will be provided later this year.
