This module equips learners with the knowledge, skills, and practical tools needed to effectively plan, execute, and monitor projects. It emphasizes the integration of key project management components to manage scope, time, cost, and performance in dynamic project environments.
FUNDING
HCI Micro-Credential Course Learner Subsidy
This course qualifies for 50% funding under the HCI Micro-Credential Course Learner Subsidy. Check fees section for details and eligibility.
NOTE: Applicants may only apply for and receive one subsidised course per semester.
ReSHAPE Project Funding
Fully funded places are available for learners living or working in the Midlands region, counties Laois, Offaly, Longford and Westmeath. Eligible learners can avail of 100% funding under ReSHAPE.

This micro-credential represents a single module within a larger further award (eg. Certificate, Diploma, Masters). By taking this micro-credential you may be eligible to apply for a credit exemption should you progress to study for a further award.


On successful completion of this MicroCred you will be able to:
- Compare and evaluate project management approaches to determine their appropriate application in different contexts.
- Assess governance structures, roles, and responsibilities to ensure effective project oversight and value delivery.
- Engage with key stakeholders to elicit requirements, set objectives, and manage expectations.
- Develop project plans and control frameworks to organise information, monitor performance, and achieve objectives.
- Communicate project information effectively to align with stakeholder needs and organisational strategy.
- Analyse the broader organisational and societal impact of projects, ensuring alignment with strategic goals.
Assessment
Students will be assessed based on a combination of online learning activities, an integrated project management plan and personal learning reflections.
A first or second class Level 8 honours degree in a relevant or appropriate subject, or equivalent prior learning that is recognised by the University as meeting this requirement
Entry requirements are established to ensure the learner can engage with the course material and assessments, at a level suitable to their needs, and the academic requirements of the module. By applying to this micro-credential, you are confirming that you have reviewed and understand any such requirements, and that you meet the eligibility criteria for admission.
Successful completion of this module does not automatically qualify you for entry into a further award. All programme applicants must meet the entry requirements listed if applying for a further award.
The fee for this module is €1,500
HCI Micro-Credential Course Learner Subsidy - Candidates who satisfy the eligibility criteria can qualify for 50% funding subject to the availability of places.
