Below is a step-by-step guide to the hiring process at UL.

Applicants can apply for a role in UL via our online portal. You will receive an acknowledgement when your application has been successfully submitted.

The Board of Assessment will review the applications and select those who they would like to invite to interview.

We will contact the successful applicants and invite them to interview. This interview may be online or in-person. It may also involve a presentation.

The interview board will select the candidate they deem most suitable for the role. They may also select other candidates who are ‘deemed appointable’ should the first-choice candidate decide not to take the role.

Human Resources liaise with the selected candidate and request documentation (references, qualifications etc.). These documents are then checked and verified.

Each role in UL must be approved by the University's Governing Authority. Once this is done the formal offer can be issued.

After the post-interview checks are completed and the Governing Authority has approved the appointment, a formal offer is then issued to the successful candidate.

The successful candidate is sent their contract to be signed and returned.
