Entry Requirements for applicants from Malaysia:

Direct Entry

  • Students are required to hold the STPM (Sijil Tinggi Persekolahan Malaysia - Malaysia Higher School Certificate) with good results, with a CGPA of 3.00 or above. Subjects should include English, Math and another language.
  • Please note there are further subject requirements for specific courses.
  • Students holding Diplomas or Higher Diplomas from appropriate institutions may be eligible for advanced standing. 

OR

  • Students holding the Malaysian Unified Examination Certificate (must have grades of at least 70% including English, Math and another language). 

OR

  • Students with SPM Certificate (must have grades of B or above in best 5 academic subjects) plus a recognised Foundation Program. Students can take the UL Foundation program on campus or alternative Foundation Programs such as UCSI, KDU, Sunway and others in Malaysia. Alternatively students can achieve SAT scores of 1250 or above in place of a Foundation program. 

Diploma

  • Holds of a Malaysian Diploma are eligible for entry to Year 1 of a Bachelor Degree once Diploma is in a cognate discipline with high grades. 

Advanced Diploma

  • Holds of an Advanced Diploma may be eligible for entry to Year 2 of a Bachelor Degree once Diploma is in a cognate discipline with high grades. 

English language requirements also apply. We do accept 1119 English C or above as proof of English. 

Please note that some programmes may have a higher entry requirement and/or a portfolio requirement and not all applicants who meet the minimum grades will be offered a place.
