Professor Sheila Killian invites you to the launch of her new book on business sustainability.

Doing Good Business: how to build sustainable value is Sheila Killian’s third book, and her second in the area of corporate responsibility and sustainability. It’s a practical, accessible guide to the dynamic area of business sustainability, guiding readers through theory and evidence-based strategies to build social, environmental and economic sustainability into their business model and practice. The book will be launched by Prof. Finbarr Murphy, Executive Dean of the Kemmy Business School at a reception hosted by O’Mahonys Booksellers, O’Connell Street, Limerick at 6pm on October 19th.  All are welcome on the evening.

Professor Sheila Killian is a Chartered Accountant with a bachelors degree in mathematics, a masters in business studies and a PhD in taxation. She is section co-editor of the Journal of Business Ethics, and associate editor of Accounting Forum, and serves on a number of other editorial boards. Her research addresses issues of social sustainability, accountability and the common good, with a focus on professional expertise, social justice, tax policy and business school education. 

Sheila teaches corporate finance and corporate social responsibility, mainly at postgraduate level. She has also taught these subjects at Aalto University in Finland, and at University of the Witwatersrand and Rhodes University in South Africa.
