Driving Change Together: UL welcomes members of Queens University Belfast and the Centre for Effective Services on campus
Tuesday, 30 April 2024

Stable Lives Safer Streets Hub (SLSS Hub) held their third Partners Meeting on UL campus.  Twice a year all researchers funded on our North South Research Programme gather to share learnings.  This is the first time the meeting was held in UL and it was wonderful to host our colleagues from Queens University Belfast (QUB) and the Centre for Effective Services (CES).  Our colleagues in REPPP (Research Evidence into Policy, Programmes and Practice) joined us and presented their research projects.  It was lovely to hear how each project is progressing and to have the collaborative input of the three partner organisations.

It was a wonderful opportunity to showcase our amazing campus here in UL and to take a look at local initiatives in the area of Youth Crime Prevention/Diversion. Moyross Youth Academy kindly hosted SLSSHub for a site visit. We are grateful to Elaine and Andrew for their generosity in both time and knowledge, and also to the staff and young people who engaged with us . We left with lots of ideas around potential North South collaborations.
