On March 9, 2023, UL Student Sustainability hosted an engaging panel discussion as part of Green Campus Week, focusing on empowering collective action for sustainability. Moderated by Ciara O'Flynn, the session brought together representatives from Enactus UL, Feminist Society, and Medical Society to explore the intersection of sustainability with their respective areas of focus.

Enactus UL shared inspiring stories of social entrepreneurship and community empowerment, demonstrating how sustainable business practices can drive positive social change. The Feminist Society highlighted the importance of intersectional feminism in addressing environmental justice issues, advocating for inclusive and equitable solutions. Medical Society provided valuable insights into the healthcare sector's role in sustainability, discussing initiatives to promote equitable health outcomes.

Throughout the discussion, participants exchanged ideas on interdisciplinary collaboration, exploring opportunities to leverage their collective expertise for greater impact.

By fostering dialogue and collaboration among student societies, the panel discussion inspired attendees to recognise the interconnectedness of sustainability with social justice, business innovation, and healthcare. As participants left the session, they were energised and empowered to take action, knowing that by working together, they could drive meaningful change towards a more sustainable future.
