Thomas graduated from the University of Limerick with a BSc in Mathematics and Physics (First-Class Honours) in 2020. He was awarded two Science and Engineering Summer Bursaries to carry out research projects, one involving modelling light-emitting diodes and the other concerning inverse problems. He also completed an eight-month placement at Seagate Technology during the undergraduate degree. Thomas currently a PhD candidate in the Centre for Research Training (CRT) program where his research interests are in Physics and Machine Learning. During this program, he completed a ten-week training placement at Hertz. His favourite hobby is chess.
