James is a fourth year PhD candidate in the nonlinear optics group under the supervision of Dr. Christophe Silien in the Physics Department at the University of Limerick. He is part of the MOSAIC group within the Bernal Institute. His PhD research focuses on surpassing the diffraction limit in label-free optical microscopy through novel computational techniques. He is a UL graduate, completing his BSc in Applied Physics in 2019. His research interests include vibrational imaging, super-resolution fluorescence microscopy, electron microscopy, machine learning and inverse problems.
