Leaving Certificate students from various secondary schools across Ireland visited the Department of Computer Science and Information Systems (CSIS) at the University of Limerick on Tuesday, April 4th, to gain hands-on experience in the field of technology.

The students at today’s session had chosen one of three exciting courses from the CSIS Department on their CAO application form: Immersive Software Engineering, Computer Science, and Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning. The visit gave the students an insight into computer programming in Java and Python and also developing Robocode instructions. This experience allowed them to gain practical knowledge and understand the applications of these programming languages in the real world.

The CSIS Department at the University of Limerick offers a wide range of undergraduate and postgraduate programs that prepare students for careers in technology. With state-of-the-art facilities and experienced faculty members, the department is committed to providing students with a comprehensive education that equips them with the skills and knowledge required to succeed in the technology industry.
