Architecture and Product Design
The School of Design is home to both the BArch Architecture and the BSc Product Design and Technology degree programmes. Both are studio based, nationally and internationally respected programmes with professional accreditation and with a high level of graduate employability.
Practice Led Design and Architecture Research and Taught Masters Programmes
The School of Design hosts one of the largest communities of Design, Architecture and Human Factors postgraduate researchers in Ireland. These practice research projects vary from locally funded initiatives, domestically funded comercialisation and research projects through to EU funded consortia collaborations.
In the Taught Post Graduate space the School currently runs a 2 year accredited Masters in Architecture (MArch) and is also in the process of rolling out a new MSc in Design for Health and Wellbeing with first enrolment in September 2019.

The School of Design has a worldwide network links with Design and Architectures Schools across the globe.
The School is a member of the prestigious Cumulus Association of Art & Design Colleges.
We have a series of formal exchange links through the ERASMUS study abroad schemes and through Research collaborations which include the following:

Transferring to the School of Design
There are a limited nuber of transfer places in any given academic year and this is dependent on class size and resource availability in Studios. Should you wish to be considered for an internal UL transfer from another programme or from another 3rd level programme in Ireland or Internationally please contact the course directors for details.
