Writers need strategies to overcome obstacles they face, and music can be one of these strategies.

Some writers use music to motivate themselves, something that inspires them to finally put pen to paper.

Some writers have all but drained their writing reservoir and need some relief from writing. Music can be just what we need to relax our busy minds!

Some writers find it hard to stay in the zone and need the right tune to focus their writing.

Some writers use music to get their creative juices flowing, to enhance their artistic process.

Whatever your writing obstacle or your reason for using music, there’s one universal truth: if it works, it works!

We at the Writing Centre have seen that writers, for various reasons, are using music. We want to boost more collaboration for this writing support tool, and we would love to hear everyone’s input on how and why you’re using music.

You can see what music everyone else is listening to by following our Spotify.
