PwC Student Innovation Awards Ceremony

Location: Kemmy Business School, Date: Wednesday, November 29, 2023, Time: 11.30am - 2pm

PwC attracts top talent—including business students and experienced professionals—from around the world. Their commitment to responsible business leadershipdiversityworklife flexibility, career coaching and training makes our firm one of the best places to work, learn and excel.

Two years ago, PwC kindly sponsored student prizes totalling €20,000. Prizes of €10,000 were awarded per annum, and these were administered through the UL Foundation. Almost 50 KBS students have been awarded prizes under this initiative.

For each of the two years, the top three students in each of the modules AC4001 (Principles of Accounting) and AC4024 (Financial Accounting and Reporting) were awarded prizes of €1,000, €500 and €250 respectively. This totalled €3,500 per annum.

Separately, a prize fund totalling €6,500 was shared each year by the top 5 group essay submissions to the ‘PwC Student Innovation Project’ competition. This competition was open to all KBS undergraduate students, with groups of 3-4 students competing for a share of €1,300 each. The essay title each year was agreed between the KBS and PwC, and the top 5 submissions were agreed by a KBS committee each year, in collaboration with PwC.
