The challenge of cyber – an emerging risk for the insurance industry: Strategies to enable risk transfer and sustainability in digital ecosystems

As part of the Emerging Risk Group (ERG), I am conducting research in collaboration with the Institute of Insurance Science (ivwKöln), TH Köln. While the frequency and financial impact of cyber losses are increasing, businesses and insurers are just beginning to understand the full extent of this risk. In this context, my research focuses on the risk management of cyber risks and sustainable risk transfer through cyber insurance. This research also addresses cybersecurity and data availability issues.
