As the world embraces artificial intelligence at an unprecedented pace, understanding its implications and ensuring its trustworthiness becomes crucial. And so, we are thrilled to have Dr Martin Cuneen, lecturer in Data Analytics and Risk Governance at UL, as our keynote speaker sharing his thoughts on the subject. Dr Cunneen’s research and teaching often focuses on empowering financial and technology professionals to better understand and leverage data and AI innovations. He is part of Ireland’s prestigious national AI Master's program where he continues to teach industry professionals on addressing AI Risk, Ethics, and Governance. With an impressive track record of over two decades in teaching and research spanning diverse domains, including philosophy, applied ethics, Governance and Risk theory, Insurance, data and AI governance. Dr Cunneen has worked on fascinating topics ranging from Autonomous Vehicles to his present work on the AntiFinTer project that leverages AI to investigate terrorist financing activities. By employing research-led teaching methodologies, Dr Cunneen remains committed to delivering industry-focused education that equips professionals with practical and relevant knowledge, and to empower them to navigate the complex challenges and responsibilities entailed in the realm of AI."
