

Big congratulations to final-year students Oisín O'Sullivan and James McGrath, who have been awarded Best Project in their respective programmes within the Department of Electronic & Computer Engineering at UL.
Oisín picked up the award for the BSc in Cyber Security & IT Forensics with his project, "A Security Audit of the Intel ICE Driver for the e810 Network Interface Card," supervised by Associate Professor Colin Flanagan.
Meanwhile, James was awarded Best Project in the BE in Electronic & Computer Engineering for his work on "Post-Processing of Frequency Modulated Continuous Wave Radar," completed in collaboration with BOSCH and supervised by Associate Professor Ian Grout.
The awards recognise not just strong technical skills, but also the quality of the final report and poster presentation. The judging panel included Associate Professor Jacqueline Walker (BSc Course Director), Associate Professor Eoin O’Connell (BE Course Director), and Professor Tom Newe (Head of Department).
Well done to both Oisín and James on a job well done, great to see such high-quality work!
