Philosophical Underpinnings of Gerontology Care

This module provides the student with the opportunity to develop their knowledge and expertise in person-centred nursing care of the older person. This module explores theories and concepts of gerontology including theories of ageing, ageing process and ageism. It explores theories and concepts underpinning gerontological nursing. Furthermore, this module examines comprehensive physical and psycho-social assessment processes and tools within gerontological care.
