Aonad na Gaeilge offers a range of accredited and non-accredited Irish language programmes at various levels for:
- the campus community, including students and staff;
- the general public;
- the public sector;
- teacher education students (GA4006 An Ghaeilge Ghairmiúil)
- international students (two ab initio beginners modules)
- part-time students (Dioplóma sa Ghaeilge Fheidhmeach evening programme).
Language tutors have much experience of working with adult learners of Irish. Language learning strategies are discussed regularly in class - ways of dealing with common fears around making mistakes, not being understood in Irish, reading out loud, using Irish in the community, and so forth. Learner are encouraged to reflect on their progress and the focus is always on self-encouragement.
