Abhilash currently holds the position of Research Associate (full-time) within the ISCycle (Inclusive e-bike uptake and Sustainable use) project at the School of Allied Health, University of Limerick, Ireland. This project is generously funded by the Sustainable Energy Authority of Ireland (SEAI) and the Department of Transport. He also serves as a part-time instructor in the Department of Civil Engineering at the University of Limerick.

      He earned his PhD in transportation engineering in 2023 from Imperial College London, UK, with a dissertation titled "Endogeneity and Consideration Set Issues in Residential Location Choice Models." Prior to this, he worked at the Center for Transportation Research (2016-2019), while simultaneously pursuing a Master of Science in Engineering with a specialization in Transportation Engineering (2018) at The University of Texas at Austin. Abhilash also holds a Bachelor of Technology degree in Civil Engineering (2016) from the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay.

      Abhilash's research interests revolve around the comprehensive exploration of human choice behaviour using econometric and machine learning methodologies. His research is dedicated to advancing these methods to improve our understanding of how individuals and households make complex decisions related to their daily activity patterns.
