Quicklinks

The Brightspace Knowledge Base will continue to develop over the coming months to become an extensive database of information specific to UL and our use of the VLE.

  • This list of quick links is intended for short term use while we build custom Brightspace resources at UL.
  • Please see below for a set of resources recommended by UL educational technologists, organised by category
  • Please note that many of these are external resources.
  • UL uses the newest version of Brightspace, called the New Content Experience. Some of the content below may show screens from the older Classic version, the main difference between the two being the appearance of the interface. We have only included links to the Classic view where it does not affect the instructions given but many of the instructions for are the same for both versions.
  • UCD:  have an extensive Brightspace knowledge base, arranged by topic. Note: UCD use an older version of Brightspace called the classic view so screenshots will not match UL’s version of Brightspace, but the content should still be helpful in most cases.
  • TUD: their YouTube content is public but their website resources require a login, so we have only linked to YouTube here. TUD also use the classic view.
  • University of Maine: now using the New Content Experience so most screens will appear the same as UL’s version of Brightspace.
  • University of Groningen: extensive knowledge base in English with instructional text and video, using the New Content Experience.
  • Universiteit Leiden: an extensive knowledge base in English with instructional text and some video content, using the Classic view.
  • University of Arizona:  use the menu on the left to access content. Screenshots are of the classic view.
  • DePaul Universityan extensive knowledge base. Classic view.
  • Portland C College: an extensive knowledge base with instructional text. Classic view.
  • Radboud University an extensive knowledge base in English with instructional text and some video content. Classic view.
