My research focuses on marine inspired, derived materials and extractions/isolation of marine bioactives for industrial applications for both the medical sector and agri-food sectors.

Looking at greener more sustainable solutions to animal feed across the entire value chain from seaweed production to extraction of bioactives to biological assessment in collaboration with QUB, ATU and UL.
