Japanese-English Interpreting Workshop

On Thursday, 18 April, Derek Moore, a professional translator and interpreter from Japanese to English and vice versa, visited the Japanese Section.

Derek talked about his experience working in the field and presented the most prominent interpreted techniques. The students also had the opportunity to practice simultaneous and consecutive interpreting from Japanese to English.

The workshop, which was attended by over 30 students and conducted in Japanese, was very interactive and engaging.
