The Faculty of Education and Health Sciences is pleased to invite you to attend the fourth public lecture in the Knowledge with Impact series as presented by Rose Galvin, Professor in Physiotherapy, School of Allied Health, University of Limerick. A light lunch will be provided on the day.

The title of Professor Galvin's lecture is Exploring safe and appropriate integrated care pathways for older adults seeking emergency care.

Lecture description: This lecture will focus on how researchers at the Ageing Research Centre at UL have collaborated with older adults and family carers to address key uncertainties in the existing models of integrated care for older adults who attend the Emergency Department. This includes the identification of older adults at increased risk of poor outcomes following a visit to the ED through early and systematic screening, as well as targeted interventions to meet the health and social care needs of this group across transitions of care.
