The programme was deeloped in conjunction with industry partners to upskill current personnel who have shown the aptitude and track record of competence in supply chain operations to aspire to a degree level qualification.
The one year distance education diploma will provide education and practical application of the SCOR™ Framework concepts, enabling participating companies gain competitive advantage through the application of the principles to drive improvement with measureable results. A company-based project will form a key element of the programme, ensuring the integration of the various concepts in the participants' workplace. It will provide participants with the practical the tools and tecniques needed to understand Supply Chain Management within their own organisation.
September onwards for the following year and a quarter (15 months) primarily by on-line learning.
For thos who would like to develop competence in supply chain operations and are intersted in human factors that inflluence supply chain as well as cause-effect modelling, and process improvement orientations to leverage innovative opportunities.
A diploma/degree in any discipline from a third-level institution.
or
A NCEA National Diploma from a third-level institution
or
Equivalent qualification. and a minimum of 3 years working within a service/manufacturing/supply chain environment.
Candidates who do not meet the minimum entry criteria may be interviewed by the Programme Board to ascertain their suitability for the programme.
Successful completion of the UL Assessment of Experiential & Professional Skills module may be required by the Course Board upon reviewing a candidate´s application. The recognition of prior learning and prior experiential learning as per university policy will be applied to this course.
