Biography

Carmel Hinchion is Lecturer in Teaching, Learning and Assessment  and Lecturer in English Pedagogy in School of Education, University of Limerick. Previous to this she taught in second level schooling as an English and History teacher as well as Social and Personal Education academic leader. She has a  Masters in Education and qualifications in School Development Planning and Counselling. She is  presently completing her PhD thesis on student teachers ' experiences of learning to become teachers. Carmel is responsible for teaching modules on: Becoming a Teacher: Identity and Agency, English Pedagogics 1 & 2, and Research and Practice Portfolio.
