Meet Maeve

My name is Maeve Fennin, I’m a product designer from Narraghmore Co. Kildare. I grew up with a passion for design, always building, drawing, or sewing something. It was this love for design and creativity that drew me to Product Design & Technology at UL. The course has equipped me with the skills to solve real life problems. My design process involves making as many models as possible, to fully understand my design before transitioning to CAD.

If you would like to get in touch with Maeve you can view her LinkedIn profile or email her.

DIG - The plastic free solution to dog waste

Dig is the plastic-free solution to dog waste. Walking your dog somewhere with no bins can be a hassle when it comes to safely disposing of their waste. With Dig, you can scoop up the waste and continue your walk until you find a suitable spot of ground off the trail. Dig a hole, release the dog waste into it, cover it up and continue without leaving a trace.

If you are somewhere with bins, or perhaps somewhere where it may not be acceptable to bury your dog’s waste, you can use the disposable recycled paper liner. Slide the liner onto the spade blade and scoop up the waste as usual, then dispose of it in the next bin.
