Meet Niall

Growing up in County Limerick, I always had a passion for creativity and love working with my hands. After my failed attempt at becoming a second level Engineering Teacher, I decided to pursue a degree in Product Design. With the teamwork environment the studio brings, I immediately knew I had made the right decision and enjoyed every moment of developing my competency as a designer.

A key focus of my design philosophy, and particularly used throughout my final design project is user-centred design. I enjoy keeping the user involved throughout the process, and iterating designs based on their feedback. Through the process, I have learned to apply a wide variety of skills such as research methods, sketching, CAD modelling, prototyping and model-making, rendering and use of the Adobe Suite, all of which I hope to continue applying in the future.

By combining unique selling points in motorcycle luggage and air beam tent technology, I have developed a camping solution that is quick to both deploy and repack, allowing the user to maximise enjoyment and camping efficiency while touring on the road. With a particular focus on time-saving, convenience and efficiency.
