An app to help families struggling with Cystic Fibrosis

The aim of this project is to create a mobile communication-based system that can connect teachers and parents together for the benefit of a child with Cystic Fibrosis (CF). A positive outcome of this project is reducing the stress and worry on parents’ minds during the periods when their child cannot be monitored by them personally and to normalize or privatize the daily treatment a young CF patient has to endure daily.

 

The benefits of the project are numerous: for a parent to be able to monitor their child while allowing them to be treated like any other child will be hugely beneficial for the child’s growth. The aim is to allow the child with CF to live their childhood like anyone else while allowing the parent to have peace of mind, knowing that their child’s food and medicine intake will be on schedule.
