Conferring of Honorary Doctorate Degree on Professor Robert Langer & Seminar Series Invitation – 23 May 2018

The award of an Honorary Doctorate of the University of Limerick will be conferred on Professor Robert Langer on Wednesday, 23 May, 2018, and you are invited to attend the Conferring Ceremony, which is scheduled to take place at 14h15 in the Lecture Theatre (AD2-010), Analog Devices Building.  This event will also incorporate a Seminar Series, which will include talks from:
•    Professor Maria Jose Alonso, University of Santiago de Compostela, Spain
•    Professor Fergal O’Brien, Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland
•    Professor Mark Davies, University of Limerick
•    Dr Jakki Cooney, University of Limerick
and a Q&A with Professor Robert Langer and Mr Terry McGuire.

Availability will be limited so please email ceremonies@ul.ie as soon as possible if you would like to attend this event.  

Staff members who wish to take part in the academic procession for this event should forward notification of their intention to do so to: ceremonies@ul.ie, by Tuesday, 15 May, 2018. Staff processing at the ceremony should assemble, fully robed, at Level 3, Analog Devices Building by 13h45.   For those wishing to hire academic robes for the ceremony, Academic Robe Booking Forms are available from ceremonies@ul.ie.  Completed forms should be returned no later than 16h00 on Monday, 14 May 2018.  Orders received after this date will not be accommodated.

In order to ensure the smooth running of this event it is imperative that staff attending the Ceremony, but not processing, should be seated no later than 13h45 on 23 May, 2018.
