Creating Our Future is taking to the road and visiting towns across Ireland, bringing the local community together with members of the research community to grab a cuppa and discuss what the local community would like researchers to do to create a better future for their home town.

Creating Our Future, a Science Foundation Ireland initiative, is an opportunity for everyone in Ireland to give ideas on how to make our country better for all. From science, the environment, health and education to poverty, the arts, diversity and inclusion - all ideas are welcome that can inspire researchers to help make a better future for Ireland.

We would encourage as many UL researchers as possible to join the roadshow as it visits the area. There will be a coffee van with picnic benches at each location, campaign staff will be on hand inviting the public to have a seat. The idea is to have a cuppa and a chat with the public on their work and listen & engage with the public on ideas they might have for research in Ireland. There will also be a spin the wheel with various topic areas that we will encourage the public to spin and then have a discussion on the topic!

The roadshow will be in Limerick and Ennis at the times and dates below, if you are interested in attending and require further information please contact events@sfi.ie. The roadshow is open at all members of the public.
