Biography
Ena Brophy is the Business Development and Research Manager with the Mathematics Applications Consortium for Science and Industry (MACSI) at the University of Limerick, With a background in research management, Ena has extensive experience managing a range of interdisciplinary projects within academia and industry, providing insight-led solutions to meet strategic challenges across EU markets.Prior to taking on her role with MACSI, Ena worked with BioInnovate Ireland, a medical device innovation training programme that focuses on the development of medical device solutions to address unmet clinical needs. Ena worked for two years with FIZ Karlsruhe in Germany where she developed and managed product innovation activities including the European market introduction of RADAR, a research data management tool. Ena has studied Information Technology and holds a Postgraduate Certificate in Medical Technologies Regulatory Affairs and Operations, Postgraduate Diploma in Product Design Control, and a Masters in Adult Learning and Development. In addition, she holds a Certificate in Research Management from the European Association of Research Managers and Administrators (EARMA). Ena is also a certified Lego Serious Play Methodology Facilitator with the Association of Master Trainers in the LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY®.
