Research Interests

The main focus of my research is to consider the following questions;

  • How is tax policy formulated in Ireland? What are the processes in place - formal or informal - to support the process of tax policy making in Ireland?
  • What is the extent to which external stakeholders influence the process of tax policy making in Ireland?

By examining tax policy making in a real world context, the research will seek to identify best practice in tax policy making. This will translate into applicable research that can help raise overall standards in tax policy making.
