Mr. Keith Young

Biography

Keith Young is a graduate of the B.Tech (Ed.) in Materials and Engineering Technology (UL) and is currently completing his Ph.D research under the supervision of Prof. Patricia Mannix-McNamara and Dr. Barry Coughlan.

His researched is focused on developing post-primary school teachers capacity to work with students diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) in mainstream classrooms by attempting to identify and understand their professional needs in this area.

He has spent five summer in the United States of America working at a summer camp for children diagnosed with ASD. The camp offers a traditional american summer camp experience to campers while also providing additional supports to help in the development of their social interaction skills and with other challenges associated with autism.
