The Faculty of Education and Health Sciences, in collaboration with the Health Research Institute, has established its first Postgraduate Research Excellence Seminar to promote and celebrate excellence in postgraduate students’ research. This forum will showcase the importance of emergent researchers for the future of research in Ireland. Dr Graham Love, Chief Executive, Health Research Board will present a keynote address at this prestigious event.
Each department of the Faculty will have two finalists to each present their research at the seminar. The finalists will receive a certificate of achievement and the winning applicant will receive the Dean's award.

2:10 - 4:00pm Oral presentations by finalists for the Dean's award
4:00 - 4:20pm Introduction: Prof Austin Stack, Director Designate of the Health Research Institute (HRI) at UL
Keynote Speech by Dr Graham Love, Chief Executive of the Health Research Board (HRB) of Ireland
4:20 - 4:40pm Open forum for audience questions and discussion, with Dr Graham Love, chaired by Prof Stack
4:40 - 4:55pm Dean's Prize: announced by Dr Rachel Msetfi, ADR for EHS and chair of the judging panel. Award presented by Dean of EHS, Prof Alison Perry
4:55 - 5:00pm Closing remarks
5:10 - 6:00pm Light reception
